Welcome to VERIMIND! We are thrilled to have you on board. Before we dive into the magic of AI, let’s go over a few ground rules. By using the VERIMIND browser extension, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay, but you won't be able to use the Service.

1. The Magic (and Limits) of AI VERIMIND acts as a bridge between you and powerful Artificial Intelligence (powered by Google Gemini). Trust, but verify: AI is incredibly smart, but it can sometimes make mistakes, invent facts (called "hallucinations"), or miss the nuance. Your responsibility: You are in the driver's seat. Please double-check any important information before using it for work, school, or sharing it online. We cannot be held liable for AI-generated mistakes.

2. Not a Substitute for Professionals VERIMIND is a brilliant assistant, but it doesn't hold a medical degree, pass the bar exam, or have a financial license. The answers it provides are for informational purposes only. Please don't use the AI as a replacement for real doctors, lawyers, or certified financial planners.

3. Your Content & Safe Usage When you highlight text, take a screenshot, or ask the AI to analyze PDFs and web pages, we only process what is necessary for your request. You own everything you submit. We don't claim your content. Your Responsibility & Permissions: You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to process the text, PDFs, and web pages you submit. VERIMIND does not pre-screen content and disclaims any liability for copyright infringement or violation of confidentiality agreements caused by your use of the Service. Please be smart: Do not use the extension to process highly sensitive data like credit card numbers, passwords, or confidential health records. Prohibited Content: You are solely responsible for the content you process. It is strictly prohibited to upload illegal, explicit (NSFW), or violent material, as well as copyrighted documents without authorization or confidential corporate files. Feedback & Improvements: By submitting feedback on a specific AI response, you grant us permission to store that specific prompt and response to improve VERIMIND. Again, please ensure you do not include sensitive personal information in your prompts.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & Our "Fair Use" Promise We offer a Free plan to get you started, and a PRO plan for heavy users. Secure billing & Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy provides all customer service inquiries related to payments, handles secure transactions, and manages taxes/VAT compliance. We never see your credit card details.

Guest & Free Usage: To allow everyone to try VERIMIND, we offer a Guest limit of 5,000 tokens. By simply logging in, you unlock an additional 5,000 tokens (for a total of 10,000 Free tokens). Once these are reached, you must upgrade to PRO to continue using the Service.

PRO Plan Limits: To ensure VERIMIND stays lightning-fast for everyone, our PRO plan includes massive daily limits: 700,000 tokens for the Lite model, plus 300,000 tokens for the PRO model per day. This covers even the most intense professional use while protecting our infrastructure.

Cancellations & Refund Policy: You can cancel your PRO plan anytime with one click from your dashboard, and you'll keep your premium features until the end of your current billing cycle. Because VERIMIND offers a generous Free tier that allows you to fully test the extension's capabilities before purchasing, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. According to EU law, by purchasing VERIMIND PRO, you provide your express prior consent to begin the performance of the digital service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal (14-day cooling-off period).

5. Things Happen (Service Uptime) We work hard to keep VERIMIND running smoothly 24/7. However, servers can sometimes have hiccups, or Google's API might go down for maintenance. We provide the service "as is" and cannot guarantee 100% uninterrupted uptime.

6. Legal Limitation of Liability To keep the lawyers happy, we have to say this: To the maximum extent permitted by law, VERIMIND and its creators are not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages (like lost profits or data) that might happen while using our extension. In no event shall VERIMIND's aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service exceed the total amount paid by you to VERIMIND during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.

🔒 PRIVACY POLICY

We hate shady privacy practices as much as you do. Our philosophy is simple: we only collect what we absolutely need to make the extension work, and we protect it fiercely. Here is exactly how we handle your data.

1. What We Collect & Our "Privacy by Design" Your Account & Authentication: We use Google's secure OAuth system for login. When you sign in with your Google account, we only request and securely save your email address. We do not see or store your password. We use your email solely to remember who you are and keep track of your Free/PRO token limits. Your Payments: If you go PRO, Lemon Squeezy handles the entire transaction as our Merchant of Record. We only store a simple "Active/Canceled" status and your subscription expiry date on our side. The "Privacy by Design" Shield: We built a security feature right into the extension. Before the text you select even leaves your browser, our code actively looks for and blurs out sensitive personal info (like email addresses and phone numbers). It's an extra layer of privacy, just for your peace of mind. Service Improvement (Feedback): If you voluntarily choose to rate an AI response (using the thumbs up/down feature), we securely store your email address, the specific text prompt you submitted, and the AI's response. We use this data strictly to analyze quality, fix bugs, and improve the system. We will never share this data, and you can request its deletion at any time by contacting us.

2. How We Use Your Data We use your inputs (text, screenshots, PDFs, and web pages) for one reason only: to send them to the AI and get you an answer. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. Period.

3. Our Trusted Partners To make the magic happen, we work with the best in the business: Render & Neon (Infrastructure & Database): Our backend servers (Render) and database (Neon) are strictly configured to use European data centers. We only store your email and token usage counts here. Google (Authentication): We use Google OAuth to securely verify your identity without handling passwords. Google (Gemini AI): We send your selected content to Google's API to generate the response. To ensure maximum data sovereignty, all AI processing is routed through Google Cloud servers physically located within the European Union. Furthermore, we use Google's APIs, which strictly prohibits Google from using your data to train their public models. Lemon Squeezy: Acts as our Merchant of Record and is used strictly to process your payments securely and handle billing compliance.

4. We Don't Keep Your Documents (Zero Retention) We are not digital hoarders. Your documents, prompts, and web pages are processed strictly in-transit. They pass through our European backend servers (Render) into volatile memory (RAM) only for the seconds required to reach Google's Gemini API and return an answer. They are immediately purged afterward and never touch our Neon database (unless you specifically choose to submit a response for feedback as stated above). Everything is transmitted using secure, bank-level encryption (HTTPS).

5. You Are in Control It's your data. You can cancel your PRO subscription at any time using the dashboard inside the extension. You also have the ability to delete your account entirely; if you do so, your email address is permanently wiped from our database.
